Daniel F. Barnes is a Partner in The Crown Companies, LLC. Mr. Barnes is involved with all aspects of the company’s acquisitions, leasing, development and property management, although his primary responsibilities include managing and coordinating all design, permitting and construction activities for each of the company’s projects.

Prior to joining The Crown Companies, Mr. Barnes worked as a Project Manager for John S. Clark Company Inc. for nine years in the commercial division. While at John S. Clark Company, Mr. Barnes managed over 70 million dollars in construction projects. While most of Mr. Barnes’s projects were retail oriented, he also has experience in office, industrial and renovation projects.

Mr. Barnes received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1996. He lives in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, where he serves as the Receiving Treasurer at Pilot Mountain First Presbyterian Church and is on the Board of Directors at Pilot Knob Park Country Club. He is an active member in the community, participating in such programs as “Leadership Surry County” and coaching little league sports. He is married and has one son.
